PRINCIPAL UX DESIGNER • JAN 2023 - PRESENT

Lead UX design efforts for the Web Strategy and UX Design team, spearheading the redesign of the Providence Health and Swedish Health websites. Conduct user research, create wireframes, prototypes, and conduct usability testing to ensure optimal user experience. Oversee and maintain the Design System, ensuring consistency and scalability across all digital platforms. Lead bi-weekly Designer Syncs to promote team cohesion and collaboration.


 

 

HCA Healthcare

SENIOR UX DESIGN LEAD • JUL 2021 - JULY 2022

In my role as a member of HCA's Digital Patient Experience (DPX) Product Design Team, I had the responsibility of delivering comprehensive design solutions for patient and consumer-oriented products. This encompassed various aspects such as research, visual design, design thinking, and UX design. Notable achievements include leading the UX design for HCA's 'Virtual Registration' iPad app for remote patient registration and payment at Emergency Department Facilities. I also led the redesign and personalization of HCA's component-based framework across numerous consumer-facing websites, benefiting millions of healthcare patients. Additionally, I played a significant role in enhancing HCA's 'Vision' feature (hospital bedroom TV app), contributing to the creation of 'Universal Scheduling' which streamlined complex procedure bookings, and participated in redesigning the MyHealthONE 2.0 mobile portal app. Furthermore, I served as a lead UX consultant for A/B testing within the DPX team and provided mentoring to colleagues.


 

 

Cracked - E.W Scripps

DIGITAL DESIGN DIRECTOR • APR 2016 - DEC 2017

I was in charge of design at Cracked.com, which became the top comedy site in the U.S. and worldwide during my time there. I led a skilled team, overseeing the design of websites, mobile apps, and more. We won 5 Webby Awards from 2011 to 2017 and ranked #1 for mobile traffic among humor sites. I also worked on branding, marketing, and collaborating with others to make sure our designs matched business goals. I used data to guide our design decisions and fostered a creative environment. Notably, the site's value grew from just under 1 million dollars at the time of acquisition to a remarkable 39 million dollars within 7 years under my leadership.

PRODUCT DESIGN LEAD / ART DIRECTOR - SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER • JUL 2010 - APR 2016

Led and managed the web and product design department for the 5 time Webby Award winning humor and entertainment site Cracked.com. As the Product Design Lead, I spearheaded the end-to-end process of ideation, conceptualization, testing and delivery of UI/UX designs. this encompassed a wide range of platforms and applications including: responsive websites, iPhone & Android apps, iPad apps, Apple TV app, Window app, Roku app, site CMS, Design System, brand style guides, eCommerce store, all promotional material including in-house ads, social media and presentation designs. I also led user research and testing, A/B testing analytics, website heatmap analysis and usability testing of websites and product applications.

Played a role in enhancing the user experience through the redesign of the Livestrong.com website and its associated product lineup. Additionally, crafted customized data visualization graphs that seamlessly integrated with their product offerings, ensuring intuitive comprehension for users.

Designed packaging, catalogs, and sell sheets for a variety of products licensed by Bravo Sports. (Hyper Skates, World Industries, Pig Skateboards, Kryptonics, Satellite Skateboards, Nickelodeon, Quickchair, Quickshade and Airzone Trampolines. Also created artwork for POP/PDQ displays ( K-MART, Target, Walmart, The Sports Authority, Dick's Sporting Goods, Lowe's and The Home Depot ).
